Mission
Brent Ward's mission is to help people of all ages enjoy playing music through patient and supportive teaching.
Philosophy
a) Anyone can learn to play an instrument.
b) Things should be made as simple as possible. Unecessary, complicated ideas should be stripped away until the basics become second nature. This allows for faster progress, and fuels students' motivation to stay with their studies. Complicated ideas become simple when you understand the basics.
c) Everyone learns at their own pace and in their own way. Good teachers are patient and respect differences in the way people learn.
d) The key to learning anything in life is a two step process. First, Practice. Second, repeat the first step.
