This series was the best I could find because it teaches note-reading, tablature, as well as how to play chords. It also has a unique way of teaching strumming, note reading and tablature all in one set of music notation. Plus the accompanying song book (available separately) has something for everyone. I've used it many times before and everyone seems to like it!
